Leah is a DC Native, currently residing in North Carolina. She is a Wake Forest University Honors Alum who possesses dual Master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology for Gender and Sexual Fluidity.  Leah has been an active member of Chi Sigma Iota, International Counseling Honor Society since 2017.

Leah collectively has sixteen years of counseling experience. Her graduate level research involved transgender youth and her current focus is on specialized services with the LGBTQ populations, those struggling with issues surrounding their sexual identity; Primarily, Leah holds healing space for Transgender People of Color. 

Leah’s practice is based on a Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral approach. She is also skilled in techniques such as mindfulness/wellness, motivational interviewing, Gestalt methodologies, and Freudian psychoanalysis. Her client base ranges from young adults to individuals in their mid 40’s looking to address career challenges, anxiety, depression, spirituality, developmental/transitional concerns, and couples counseling.
